JOGLE Day 04 – Fort William to Inveraray

Sunrise over Loch Linnhe

Day 4 on our way from John o’Groats to Land’s End took us from Fort William to Inveraray, skirting lochs most of the way. All in all it was a fabulous day – at the moment this ride just keeps getting better and better. We had glorious weather, if a little chilly to start. No wind and a flat loch-side ride, apart from a lump at the end to get over into Inverarary, meant we set a really good pace (for us).

I’d been looking forward to the Scotland part of the ride as it’s not a part of the UK I’d seen much of (despite having lived in Aberdeen briefly). We all know Scotland is beautiful, but to be right in it for hours on end in the luckiest of weather has been a real treat. It’s still two more days before we cross the border, so if those are anything like today we’ll be very happy end-to-enders indeed.
