Mental Models workshop with Indi Young

Cover of Mental Models

As soon as Indi Young’s book Mental Models – Aligning design strategy with human behavior was published by Rosenfeld Media, I was in there with my credit card. It’s a fascinating, in-depth, and above all practical book, explaining how to determine and apply mental models before making design and strategic decisions. So I was over the moon when the opportunity arose for Clearleft to put on a Mental Models workshop with Indi to complement her book.

Mental models provide design teams with a very clear picture of what their users are trying to accomplish, so the product or design can be structured accordingly, so workshop is for web designers, product designers and marketing professionals who want to uncover their customer needs at a deeper level. It will be a full day of thought-provoking inspiration and hands-on practicality – a heady mix and I can’t wait!

The workshop will be held at Clearleft’s offices in Brighton on Monday, 2nd June 2008. There are full details on the Clearleft website, an Upcoming event if you’d like to mark your attendance, or you can jump straight in and book your place – early bird tickets are available until 7th May for a bargain £345 per person.
