I’ve just being perusing the 2006 Review edition of Grafik magazine – my favourite designer-y publication – and came across some mini-interviews with graphic design luminaries. I thought they wrapped up the year nicely, so I’ve copied their questions here and provided my own answers.
What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this year?
From a work point of view so much good has happened: some great projects; new employees; but I suppose the defining best thing to happen was for the lease on our old office to be unexpectedly cut short, leading us to the place we’re in now which we absolutely love.
From a personal point of view, the best thing to happen was a fantastic week in Istanbul. I’m still raving about the place to anyone who’ll listen. It’s such a vibrant city, with a fascinating culture, wonderful people and more history than most countries – if you get the opportunity go!
And the worst?
I tend not to dwell on negative things, but the worst thing about this year has probably been working too hard (although I love my job) and becoming decidedly unfit.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Too many lattes and mini panettones from Caffé Nero.
And what’s your New Year’s Resolution?
Be more organised more often and definitely get back out on the bike more.
Over to you
Ok that’s four questions, so in the spirit of these things I’ll pass them on to four lucky recipients:. Andy, Jeremy, Ethan and Derek – if you can be arsed, what happened to your 2006?
