In response to last week’s rant about upgrade messages for non-CSS browsers, Doug has written an fascinating post on the process Wired went through with their upgrade message. Doug talks about the evolution of the message wording and how it’s placement differs throughout the site (at the top on the homepage; at the bottom inside the the site).
And on a different, may be even contraversial note, can someone tell me the difference in morality between wearing fur, weather leather and eating meat? Why all the fuss about fur – is it just because foxes are cuter than cows?

yes, foxes are cuter than cows. But the reason there’s more talk about fur than meat is that animals that are just are allmost allways more or less tortued witch cows isn’t. And ya. thanks for a nice blog all in all.

Hmm. Can’t think why anyone would go to the trouble of torturing an animal before killing and skinning.
The argument I heard recently is that cows are killed for food (we all have to eat, right) and that leather is more acceptable because it is a byproduct of that process. Whereas fur involves killing animals purely for aethestics.
