UKbloggers

As the British blogs portal GBlogs dies, another is born… Over at UKbloggers we have started collecting submissions for our geographical directory of British blogs. All blogs are submitted along with the first half of a post code, thereby allowing visitors to search for blogs based on physical location, either by typing in a town or post code or by clicking on a map.

Some might argue that physical locations for blogs are irrelevant but I disagree. Take Adactio for example: Jeremy talks a lot about techie web stuff that interests me and a great many other people world-wide; he also talks about Brighton, where we both reside. People write about their lives in blogs and where we live is intractably part of our life; therefore physical location does have a relevance.
