Rosegarden at Linux Expo UK

§ Music · Tools & software

Bownie and Chris will be showing off their music software, Rosegarden, at the Linux Expo in Olympia, London on the 9th–10th October. Registration is free on the website and on the door.

Rosegarden is a MIDI and digital audio capable sequencer and notation editor for Linux. Put simply this allows you to record, edit and produce music on your PC and what’s more, it’s free!

Over the two days, the guys will be assailing random punters and letting them make their own ‘music’ while generally demoing the software and allowing visitors to take home a CD of their very own ‘song’. They’ll be giving away other stuff too but probably not in a Radio 1 Roadshow stylee. All in all, it should be quite entertaining, and definitely worth nipping off work early for.
